CPR- (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) in addition to the use of an AED (automated external defibrillator) unit, greatly increase the chance of survival for someone who has had a heart attack or has gone into cardiac arrest.
With CPR/AED training, you will be able to recognize the signals of a heart attack and cardiac arrest, learn to always call 9-1-1 and activate the EMS system, learn proper CPR techniques as well as how to use an AED unit.
Advanced medical care is needed as soon as possible for the patients greatest chance of survival. By following the 4-step sequence called the "Cardiac Chain of Survival," you are enhancing your patients chance of survival.
The 4-steps include: Early Recognition and Early Access; Early CPR; Early Defibrillation and Early Advanced Medical Care. In all of the CPR/AED courses, you will become familiar with this 4-step sequence.
All CPR/AED courses are OSHA workplace approved
Participants receive a 2 year certification.
