Wilderness First Aid

Wilderness First Aid is designed for outdoor enthusiasts, trip leaders, river guides, park rangers, camp counselors as well as people working in backcountry or remote settings.

Wilderness First Aid is a two-day class that teaches students the assessment of and treatment given to an injured or ill person in a remote environment where definitive care by a health care provider and/or rapid transport is not readily available.

Participants will learn the basics of patient assessment to determine proper care in a medical emergency. We will create scenarios common to what you might encounter in a remote or backcountry setting. This is a fun, fast paced, hands on course and the majority of the course is designed to be taught in an outdoor environment. Upon completion of this course, you will have the skills and confidence to respond to common medical emergencies in remote settings.

Participants receive a 2 year certification.
